The sun rose on Cynthia Denise Dupree (Emory) on January 24, 1961. She was born to and leaves behind Dennis and Norma Emory of Inman, SC. The sun set for her on this Earth on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her residence.
To know her was to love her. She was a straight shooter. A free spirit. She loved having a good time and was always down for an adventure. Her love for music took her on many throughout her life. You either went with her plan or got left behind. She loved being outdoors fishing and gardening. She had an endless love for animals, especially dogs and horses. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Ella.
She worked in the medical field before retiring but her favorite job in life was being called "Lala". She leaves behind to cherish her memory three grandchildren, her best friend, Braylon Izayah Dupree, Liam Emory Dupree and Amiya "her pickles" Brielle Nicholson.
She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Dean Emory, several aunts, uncles and grandparents.
She leaves behind her two children: Rachael (Rashawn) Dupree; Jordan Dupree of Simpsonville, SC; a brother; Robert Emory; nieces Rhendi (Thomas) Bird; Shana (Austin) Green; Liza and Sara Emory; Nephew Coy Chapman and great nephew Stetson Bird all of Inman, SC.
A celebration of her life service will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 13, 2021 with Mr. Keith Henerey officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
In honor of Denise, "the wild rose", the family requests her favorite roses or a donation to an animal rescue in her honor. Enjoy a good song and watch an evening sunset, maybe even catch a fish.
The family will be at their homes.
