Orangeburg, SC---Crystal Lynne Chapman, 53, of 305 Brookside Drive, Orangeburg, gained her angel wings Friday, July 14, 2017, following an extended battle with cancer.
Crystal was born March 23, 1964, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the Rev. Clarence Richard Chapman and Myra Easler Chapman, who predeceased her.
She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the USC School of Law. She practiced law for the firm of Williams and Williams, the Orangeburg County Public Defender, the Solicitor's Office and the S.C. Department of Social Services, all in Orangeburg County.
She leaves behind a cherished daughter, Carlen Camille Chapman of the home; a brother, Steve Chapman of North Carolina; a special niece, Claudia Chapman; and a number of other nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at her request on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Orangeburg Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 PM and the service will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 PM with the Rev. Billy Williams officiating.
Crystal asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to an educational fund for Carlen Chapman at First Citizens Bank, Orangeburg, or to Grove Park Hospice.
