Coline Merle Waters, 96, of 390 Marconi Drive, Spartanburg, passed away Friday, March 1st, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Coline was a daughter of the late Mary Louise Skelton Hawkins and Kamilina "Kay" Hawkins and was the widow of Walter Eugene Waters. She retired from Butte Knit after 20 years of service and loved working in her flower beds and watching birds. She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Arledge and husband, Lemar, of Spartanburg; a daughter in law, Connie Waters of Greer; sister, Frances Nodine of Landrum; five grandchildren; Cindy McNamara (Kevin), Kim Parks (Jeff), Angie Crenshaw (Allen), Tami Steed (Kevin), Twinkey Loudenslager; twelve great grandchildren; Jennifer (Brad), Mandy, Natosha (Ryan), Ashley (Kevin), Allison , Casey, Kevin Jr, Will, Avery, Josh, Jason, Craig, and four great great grandchildren; Emmalin, Holden, Emerson, and AJ. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by three sisters, Betty Mabry, Louise Minton, Inez Wood; three brothers, Boyce, Leonard, and Fred Hawkins; a son, Edward Waters; a granddaughter, Marie Key; and a great granddaughter, Emma Grace Parks. She was also a patient of Crescent Hospice of Spartanburg with many loving care givers and friends.
The family will receive friends 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday at Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Dr. Paul Moore, Rev. Jeremiah Childers, and Mr. Jimmy McHarge. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
