Clyde "Pete" Gibson

Boiling Springs, SC---Clyde "Pete" Benjamin Gibson, 67, of 917 Old Furnace Road, Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 29th, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Pete was born in Gaffney, SC on October 27, 1944, a son of the late Lillian Mae (Painter) and Oscar Gibson.
He was the husband of Linda (McEntire) Gibson and retired from the US Army having served proudly for over 25 years.
In addition to his wife, Pete is survived by two daughters, Misty Gibson and fiance' Tyrone Rodgers of Boiling Springs; Stephanie Poates, of Boiling Springs, a sister Gail Snyder of Spartanburg, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Ronnie Metcalf.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 1, 2012.
