Clinton B. Loven

July 3, 1950 — April 23, 2018

Clinton B Loven, 67, of Inman, South Carolina passed away April 23, 2018.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Clint was the son of the late Wesley Morris Loven Sr. & Violet Elizabeth (Felan) Loven. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas and El Monte, California. Growing up, people who knew him would say he was a cute, rough and tumble little kid. You could often find him playfully wrestling with kids in the backyard. His Sunday clothes would often have grass stains on his knees. Some would say he was a scrapper, but only to stand up for the weaker guy. He was taught boxing by his military father after all.
Clint attended High School and College in California. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War era. Moving back to Texas, his talents leaned toward mechanical where he worked for a Chrysler dealership and other auto shops for 11 years in San Antonio. He enjoyed customizing and rebuilding VW Bugs and owning muscle cars.
He then moved to Arizona where he worked for Swift Trucking for 21 years before retiring. It is in this job that Clint showed his talents. He worked in most every department and learned about the others he didn't. He was loyal, set an example, and a hard worker.
The thing that gave him the most pleasure was mentoring others and watching them move up. In his family life, watching the children grow up and succeed. He also mixed that with a great sense of humor.
Clint had a love and respect for all things nature. This includes pets he had throughout his life, astronomical events, geography, and watching birds and horticulture.
Both parents and a brother Wesley Morris Loven Jr. precede him in death. Clint is survived by siblings Melissa Loven and David Loven. His wife Kathy Dawson, and blended family Jessica (Loven) Tessman, Gene W Graham Jr. (Jennifer), Danielle Evans and Michael Evans, six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
Private Cremation.
