Clifton Nelson "Cliff" Gurley, 53, of 433 Carolina Dr., Spartanburg, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Walterboro, SC in a highway accident.
Cliff was born in Spartanburg on September 7, 1963, a son of the late Sarah Myrtle Allen Gurley and John Dee Gurley and was the husband of Karyn Hopson Gurley. He was a lifelong truck driver and a Baptist.
In addition to his wife, Karyn, he is survived by three daughters; Michelle Bishop of Inman, Danielle Cartee of Spartanburg, Lacey Harrington of Spartanburg, two sisters; Charlotte Campsen and husband Al of Phoenix, AZ, Cathy Steadman of Phoenix, AZ, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday 6:00 until 8:00 at Seawright Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 30th, with Rev. Kevin Smith and Rev. Jones Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 364 S. Pine St., Suite B 155 ,Spartanburg, SC 29301.
