Clarence William Brown, 88, of 7 Birch Street, Inman, SC, passed away Sunday, August 4th, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum.
Clarence was born in the North Pacolet Community of South Carolina on October 2, 1924, a son of the late Florence (Cudd) and Joseph Brown. He was the husband of Hazel (Stewart) Brown, retired from Liberty Life Insurance Co and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church. In addition to his wife Clarence is survived by a daughter, Gail Washburn, of Inman; a sister, Pauline Brady, of Inman; a brother, Joe Brown, of Saluda, NC, four grandchildren, Curtis Greene, Perry Greene, Trisha Allen, Ryan Greene and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, David Brown
The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Inman First Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at Inman First Baptist Church at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 7th, with Rev David Allen and Rev Jeremiah Childers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman First Baptist Church Building Fund, 14 N. Howard Street, Inman, SC 29349 or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Rd, P0 Box 127 Landrum, SC 29356.
