Inman, SC--- Clara O'Neal Emory Stevens, 99, of 3 Stevens Ct. Inman, SC, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, South Carolina. Born in Inman, SC on January 1, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Eddie Seymore and Nancy Jane (Thompson) Emory and was the wife of the late Albert Curtis Stevens.
Mrs. Stevens retired from Inman Mills after over 37 years of dedicated service and later retired from Butte Knit and was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church and also the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion.
She is is survived by two sons, Tommy Stevens and wife Barbara of Spartanburg and Bobby Stevens and wife Joyce of Arcadia; two daughters, Norma Cox and husband David of Spartanburg and Vicki Cannon and husband Paul of Spartanburg; one sister, Marjorie Davis of Holly Springs along with eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 1:00 - 1:45 PM at Inman Mills Bapstist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the church with Rev. Jack Hames officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
