Clara Belle (McQueen) Flynn, 91, formerly of Blacksburg, SC died Tuesday, September 21st, 2010 at Peachtree Centre in Gaffney, SC.
Mrs. Flynn was born in Conestee, SC on June 12, 1919, the daughter of the late Evan Austin and Beulah Belle (Davis) McQueen. She was the widow of Joe Flynn and had retired from Hoechst Fiber. During WW II she served with the Sea Bees as a welder and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one sister, Leona Collins and one brother Paul McQueen and his wife Betty all of Inman. There are a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat McCoy Palmer, a son Sheridan McCoy and a step-son Ronnie Flynn.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Geddes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home and is at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Peachtree Centre Nursing Home, 1434 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, SC 29340.
