Christine Dover Green, 87, passed away, Monday, April 11, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, Mrs. Green was born on October 11, 1928, a daughter of the late James Richard and Lillian Splawn Dover. Mrs. Green was a retired employee from Abbott Laboratories and a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg. Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, Charlie Crawford Green of the home; two daughters, Dianne Green Sappington and her husband Robert Sappington, of Dallas, Texas, Patricia Lynn Armstrong and her husband J. Armstrong, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; a sister, Laylous High, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; a brother, Paul Dover, of Shelby, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Liza Sappington Howard, Jake Armstrong, Katie Armstrong, Emily Armstrong; two great grandchildren, Ella Howard and Callie Howard. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Viola Brewer and three brothers, Benjamin, Charles and Eugene Dover. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 15, 2016 at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, conducted by Rev. Sean Rogers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Medical Center, Gibbs Cancer Center, 101 East Wood Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29303. The family is at the residence.
