Chesnee, SC---Charles Edward Stewart, 75, of 3822 Hwy 11 Chesnee, SC, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his residence. Born in Whitley County, Kentucky on May 15, 1939,he was a son of the late Lucy (Paul) and Marion Stewart and was the husband of Eula Jean (Smith) Stewart. He was a member of Living Waters Community Church and was the owner/operator of Stewart Stump and Tree removal service and was a former employee of Bigelow-Sanford.
In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, Charles E. Stewart, Jr. of Chesnee, Terry Wayne Stewart and his wife Terri of Inman, Mark Timothy Stewart of Chesnee, Kenneth Stewart of Inman and Adam Stewart of Chesnee; three brothers, Marion Stewart of Clarksville, TN, Billy Russell Stewart of Campobello and Donnie Stewart of Benton, TN; two sisters, Jessie Owens of Mississippi and Marvitta Brown of Campobello along with seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was predecased by three brothers, John Stewart, Walter Stewart and Teddy Roy Stewart and two sisters, Matilda Wofford and Ellen Wright.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 16, 2015 with Rev. Frank Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to: Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
