Charles Stevenson Smith, III
Moore, SC---Mr. Charles Stevenson Smith, III, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9th, 2009.
Born in Spartanburg, he leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Kay Ballenger Smith and was the son of the late Charles Stevenson Smith, II and Laurine (Diamond) Smith who survives him of Inman.
He was a member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Cindy Roberts of Greer and Melisa Deel and husband, Gerry of Inman; one granddaughter, Taylor Roberts; three grandsons, Jake Roberts, Ian Deel, Alex Deel; one sister, Dianne Martin and husband, John of Union; one brother J.G. Smith of Inman and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the home of his daughter Melisa, 189 Stallion Rd. Inman.
Cryptside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC, at 3:00 PM today, Sunday, January 11th, 2009 with Pastor Benny Green officiating.
Memorial donations maybe made to: Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Foundation, 101 E. Wood St., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
