Charles Maurice Nodine, 80, of 153 Campton Circle Inman passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Woodruff Manor. Born in Greenville County on November 7, 1933, the son of the late Maurice and Elizabeth "Lizzy" (Smith) Nodine.
Mr. Nodine was the loving husband of Mrs. Shirley (Babb) Nodine having celebrated 57 wonderful years of marriage.
He was the owner of Nodine Motor Company and was a member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church, Inman Masonic Lodge, Spartanburg Shrine Club and served as treasurer of the Carolina Independent Auto Dealers Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Angela Nodine (Bill) of Landrum, Chuck Nodine of Inman, and Wanda Hughes (Mark) of Inman; two grandchildren, Haley and Hannah Hughes; two step-grandchildren, Amber and Kali and three step-great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Ann Taylor (Larry) of North Carolina along with several nieces and nephews and a special loving buddy, Nancy Bell.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Maxwell and Ethel Stewart.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Inman Mills Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jack Hames officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank everyone at Woodruff Manor and a special thank you to all the nurses and CNA's for the excellent care given to Mr. Nodine. Many went above and beyond to make him feel special and gave the family great comfort.
