Charles Newman

Charles Leon Newman , 78, of 600 Bryant Rd. passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019. Leon was born in Polk County, NC on June 24, 1940, a son of the late Levy and Addie (Fisher) Newman and was the beloved husband of Sheila Ann (Brock) Newman. He was a retired brick mason and was a member of Rainbow Baptist Church. Leon is survived by two daughters, Teresa Harmeyer of Inman, SC, Christie Greene and her husband Perry of Inman, SC, two sons: Timothy Newman and his wife Shannon of Boiling Springs, SC; Tyler Newman of Spartanburg, SC, and a brother, Raymond Newman and his wife Patricia of Campobello, SC. There are five grandchildren: Shayne Crocker, Brandon Newman, Lofton Harmeyer, MacKenzie Greene and Madysen Greene. There are six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by numerous family members.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. A memorial service following at 3:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Harold King.
