Mr. Charles Ray Geddes, 59, of 524 Cannon Ford Road, Inman died Friday, March 25th, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Geddes was born in Spartanburg on July 12, 1951, the son of the late John Burton and Evelyn Edwards Geddes.
He retired from KST Inc. and had served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Tonya George of Inman, a son, Michael Davidson of Bradenton, Fl., three sisters, Montez Gordon of Inman, Durene Lindsey of Boiling Springs, Norma Smith Horton of Inman, grandchildren, Matthew George, Caleb George, Taylor Allen, Michaela Davidson, Andrew Davidson, and Savannah Davidson. He was predeceased by siblings, Carolyn Blackwell, Doris Clayton, Hugh Geddes, and O'Neal Geddes.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 4:00pm on Sunday, March 27th, conducted by Rev. Frankie Taylor and Rev. David Mattox. The family is at the home of Montez Gordon at 1140 Midnight Road, Inman and will receive friends Sunday following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to American Heart Association 364 S. Pine St. Suite B 155 Spartanburg, SC 29301.
