Charles Edward Gardner

Charles Edward Gardner, 76, of Taylors, SC, passed away on January 18, 2021. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on February 14, 1944, he was the son of the late Willie Matthew Gardner, Sr. and Lurlene Jane Sawyer Gardner.
Mr. Gardner retired from Bob Jones University after 42 dedicated years in the IT Department and was a member of Inman First Free Will Baptist Church where he served with the Media Team and in the choir.
He is survived by two nieces, Deborah Mouser and her husband Marvin of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Rebekah Drace and her husband Brad of Kansas City, Missouri; one nephew, Matt Gardner and his wife Tonya of Nashville, Tennessee along with one great-nephew, Matthew Mouser and his wife Danielle and six great-nieces, Amanda Deming and her husband Stuart, Megan Hurmiz and her husband Michael, Hannah Bishop and her husband Kevin, Sarah Gardner, Audrey Drace and Emma Drace.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Inman First Free Will Baptist Church, 90 Blackstock Road, Inman, SC 29349.
