Charles Estion Edwards, 71, of 881 Rainbow Lake Rd. died Wednesday, October 1st, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Edwards was born in Spartanburg, on June 24, 1937 and was the son of the late Charley and Carrie (Gilbert) Edwards.
He was the husband of Marie (Brown) Edwards and had retired as a paint contractor.
He was a member of Green Point Baptist Church and attended New Prospect Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Lone Oak Masonic Lodge # 372 .
He is survived by a sister, Barbara Crawford of Chesnee, a brother, Harold Edwards of Napa, California and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 11:00 A. M. on Friday, October 3rd, with Dr. Ron Gaddy and Dr. David Lancaster officiating.
Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens in Boiling Springs, S. C.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday 6-8 PM. at Seawright Funeral Home with Masonic Rites just before the visitation.
