Cecil Fred Plumley
Landrum, SC---Mr. Cecil Fred Plumley, 77, of 1126 Belue Mill Road Landrum passed away Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC.
Mr. Plumley was born in Landrum, SC on November 10, 1930, the son of the late Fred Wilkie and Della Leona (Hughes) Plumley. He was the husband of Freda (Foster) Plumley.
He is survived by a son: Glen Plumley and wife Robin of Landrum, 2 sisters: Zelma Burrell, Leota Messer both of Landrum, 3 brothers: Talmadge Plumley of Landrum, Sidney Plumley of Campobello, Gliston Plumley of Landrum, 2 grandchildren: Erin Plumley and Evan Plumley of Landrum.
He worked as a carpenter, was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Landrum, SC and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Monday 5-7 PM. at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Landrum, SC, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 4th, with Rev. Ken Weathers and Rev. Chuck Mullinax officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Landrum, SC.
