Catherine Lorraine Iavarone, 80, of Bayshore, New York, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg, South Carolina. Catherine was born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 7, 1936, a daughter of the late George and Catherine Levy Marlow. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louie Iavarone. She was a member of Our Risen Savior Catholic Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Catherine was a devoted Catholic Woman, who daily enjoyed a cup of tea and quality time with her family. Her other hobbies included cooking, puzzles and shopping.
She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Stiffel and her husband Mark of Lyman, South Carolina, Diane Broderick and her husband Paul of New Jersey, Louann Harris and her husband Fred of West Islip; eight grandchildren, Jessica Moore and husband, James, Lauren Stiffel and husband Eric, Mark Stiffel, Jr. and wife Angela, Robert Stiffel and wife Kelli, Paul Broderick and wife Alicia, Colin Broderick, Freddy Harris, Connor Harris; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Catherine was predeceased by a brother; George Marlow, Jr. and one sister, Gloria Marlow.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29303, for making Mrs. Iavarone feel at peace the whole time she was there.
