Carolyn Hamrick Thomas, better known to all who loved her as "Na Na" went peacefully to be with Jesus surrounded by her children and grandchildren, Saturday, December 23, 2017. Carolyn was born in Spartanburg, SC on June 10, 1945, a daughter of the late Willie Mae (Turner) Hamrick .She was the widow of Otis Lee Thomas and a homemaker. She loved the Lord with all her heart and made sure everyone around her knew who He was and what he meant to her. She is, no doubt, sitting at the feet of Jesus singing at the top of her lungs. She was a caretaker to those related by blood and even those who weren't. You could always find her on Saturday mornings at a yard sale or in a thrift store trying to find a treasure for a dollar. We feel very blessed to have known such a special and unique soul. She is survived by two daughters, Norma Tucker and Wanda Senn of Boiling Springs, SC, a sister Barbara H. Renfro and her husband Ray of Calhoun, Ga. There are eight grandchildren: Brandi McElhannon (Elvis), Ashley King (Jonathon), Jessica Thomas, Matt Brock (Amy), Hannah Brooks (Jared), Jake Brock (Taylor), Michael Renfro (Joy), and Cammy Renfro, eleven great grandchildren: JJ, Katrina, Aurora, Addy, Rylan, Anna, Larryn, Layla, Willow, Sawyer, and Lawson. She was predeceased by her son, Bo Thomas, a brother, Jack Hamrick, a sister, Linda Groves, and a granddaughter, Brittany Thomas.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 11:00 to 11:50 AM at Seawright Funeral Home.
