Carolyn Higgins Hawkins
Carolyn Earlene Higgins Hawkins, 90, of 3539 Moore-Duncan Hwy, Moore, SC, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Carolyn was born in North Carolina on July 19, 1933, a daughter of the late Charles Lee Higgins and Myrtle (Byrd) Higgins. She was first married to the late Frank Hawkins and was also predeceased by her husband, Robert Smith. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Carolyn is survived by a sister, Gladys Cox, of Inman, 7 grandchildren, Terry Hawkins (Jamie), Chad Hawkins (Linda), Brad Hawkins, Heather Shields (Josh), Holly Garrett (Jacob), Renee Hawkins, Austin Hawkins, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Dora Poteat, Pansy Higgins, Letha Brown, Willard Higgins, Mary Jane Dockery, Virginia Harris, RC Higgins and Roscoe Higgins along with her three sons, Thomas Carroll Hawkins, Joseph Franklin Hawkins and Gary Earl Hawkins.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Seawright Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Cash officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
