 Carolyn Cooper, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at Upstate Community Hospice in Landrum. 

Carolyn was born in Campobello, SC on December 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Lelia (Skipper) and Otho  Hayes and was the wife of the late Herman Dean  Staggs. 

She was a member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church. 

Survivors include, two granddaughters, Dana Justice (Rodolfo Rodriguez), Lisa Justice (Steve Sawyer), a grandson, Jody Justice; a great grandson, Daven Delarsoa-Rodriguez; and a sister, Lula Wyatt. She was predeceased by a son Daryl Staggs; a daughter, Debbie Justice; a granddaughter, Dawn Justice; four sisters, Juanita Hayes, Aline Bryant, Inez Ballew, and Mildred Gandy; three brothers, Leon Hayes, N.T. Walker, and J.M. Couch.

Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC 

Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Motlow Creek Baptist Church in Campobello, SC  with Rev. Terry Rainey officiating.

Burial will be in  Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
