Mrs. Carol Jane Kennel Rowland, 62, of 105 Kent Place, Spartanburg, SC went to be with her Lord Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Regional Hospice Home.
Mrs. Rowland was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 24, 1947,and was the wife of David Charles Rowland. She was the daughter of Eileen (Graff) Wagener of Sherman, Texas and the late Charles Thomas Kennel.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Teresa Rowland Grenier and husband Aaron of Spartanburg, a son, Anthony "Tony" Rowland and his wife Nicole of Asheville, NC, one sister, Patricia Marie Eversole of Sherman, Texas, one brother, Charles Kennel of Oxford, Ohio and two grandchildren, Sidney Rowland and Anneliese Grenier. Carol was a faithful member of First Baptist North Spartanburg, the Lamplighters Sunday School Class and was a member of the sanctuary choir. She formerly attended Heritage Baptist Church in Lebanon, Ohio.
She worked as a retail merchandiser for Advantage Sales & Marketing.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 20, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Seawright Funeral Chapel with Dr. Michael Hamlet, Rev. Mickey Henderson and Rev. Steve Craft officiating. Honorary Escort will be the Lamplighters Sunday School Class. The family is at the home.
