Carol Rhodes Hopson, 61, of 800 W. River Grove Circle, Roebuck, SC, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, S.C. Carol was born in Woodruff, SC on August 5, 1953, a daughter of the late S. B. and Vairee (Wicker) Rhodes. She was the widow of Charles David Hopson, Sr. and was formerly employed at Mills Mill. Carol is survived by her twin sister, Linda Lyda of Woodruff, a daughter, Lynda Alexander, of Roebuck; a son, Charles David Hopson, Jr, of Spartanburg and five grandchildren, Britney Alexander, Emma Hopson, Connor Hopson, Logan Alexander and Kelsie Hopson. She was predeceased by two brothers Eddie and David Rhodes. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Hatcher Gardens in Spartanburg.The family will receive friends there from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The family would also like to express a special thank you to the staff of the Reid House in Wellford and the staff of the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
