Spartanburg, SC--Mr. Carol Ray Chesney, 60, of 145 Caldwell Circle Spartanburg died Friday, September 5th, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Chesney was born in Spartanburg, on April 3, 1948, as the son of the late Louis Kermit and Gladys (Pruitt) Chesney and he was the husband of Wanda "Kay" Mosteller Chesney.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Jason Chesney and wife Jody of Simpsonville, one grandson whom he adored, Tillman Louis Chesney of Simpsonville, two brothers, Louis K Chesney, Jr. of Panama City, FL, William "Bill" Chesney of Enoree, two sisters, Ruth Robinson of Spartanburg and Peggy Woodfin of Inman.
He was a member of True Life Christian Fellowship and was an avid fisherman, loving husband and father, and a loyal friend.
A memorial service will be held at True Life Christian Fellowship on John B. White Blvd. at
1 :OO PM on Monday, September 8th, conducted by Rev. Stephen Johnson.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Monday 11:OO AM until 1:00 PM at True Life Christian Fellowship.
