She lived most of her life in Greenville, SC. Carol was a faithful member of Laurel Baptist Church, where she taught children’s Sunday school, GAs, and Acteens, sang in the choir, and served as church treasurer. She was a member of the Haynes Sunday School class. Carol loved to work and enjoyed a long career in the textile industry, beginning with a job fresh out of high school rolling bandages for World War II soldiers at Convenience, Inc. on River Street in Greenville. She finished secretarial school and later gained employment as a secretary for Adams, Inc., where she became office manager. She attended Greenville Tech for continuing education to study computer applications. She retired from Kemet at the age of 75 and then filled her days volunteering her computer skills for various Greenville ministries and as an election poll manager. Carol loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible, traveling together several times each year. Carol loved Jesus. She was a mighty prayer warrior and prayed without ceasing over the people she loved. She was an unstoppable southern lady, a 2-time breast cancer survivor, and insisted on a big breakfast. She was a wondrous force of life and will be dearly missed.
