Carmen D’Annunzio passed away at the age of 85 on November 21, 2023 peacefully at his home. Carmen was born on August 24, 1938 in Abruzzi, Italy to John D'Annunzio and Ines (Budiani) D’Annunzio. He was the beloved father to John D’Annunzio (Tara) and Kristen Hastings (John). In addition to his children, he is also survived by his cherished grandchildren James Michael Carmen D’Annunzio, John Thomas Douglas D’Annunzio, Millie Katelyn Hastings, Holden Rutledge Hastings, Macie Elizabeth Hastings, Lilyan Grace Hastings, Davis Matthew Hastings, and Layne Harling Hastings. He is also survived by his sister in law, Carolyn D’Annunzio, of Newtown Square, PA and his faithful canine companion, Belle. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gabriele D’Annunzio. Born and raised in Italy until the age of 18, he arrived to a new land with a new language and culture. His family quickly adjusted to American life as the men of the family began working in the tailoring industry, through skills taught to Carmen and his brother by their father, John. John instilled a solid work ethic and values in his sons. Carmen was proud of his Italian culture. In true Italian tradition, he loved entertaining friends, cooking authentic Italian cuisine, dining in fine Italian restaurants, and was always dressed in his finest attire. Carmen loved people and enjoyed telling many stories about his Italian culture and worldwide travel experiences. Carmen worked as a Quality Control Manager for several companies from the 1960s-1980s including Butte Knitting Mills, Marlene Industry, Jones New York, London Fog and S&S Manufacturing. In 1989 he was employed with S. Rothschild & Company and traveled all over the world as Overseas Vice President. Carmen had thousands of global friendships, business associates, and acquaintances and was a well loved and highly respected leader to many in countries around the world including Egypt, China, India, Burma, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. In 2006, he retired to spend more time with his family. Carmen was a member of Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sons of Italy. 
A private service will be held.
