Carl Leroy Spicer

Inman, SC---Carl Leroy Spicer, 83, of 834 Hannon Road went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 16, 2017. Born in Columbus, NC on June 6, 1934, he was a son of the late Alma (Melton) and Edward Lee Spicer and was the husband of Tennie Spicer. Mr. Spicer worked as a farmer for most of his life and attended Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Tennie, he is also survived by four children, Mike Spicer and wife Phillis of Campobello, SC, Debbie Rooney and husband Bobby of Dandridge, TN, Philip Spicer and wife Glenda of Hendersonville, NC, Janet Cox and her fiance' Michael Lee Foster of Campobello, SC; along with one sister, Ruby Wright of Spartanburg and four brothers, Robert Spicer, James Spicer, Charles Spicer and Lee Spicer all of Holly Spings and six grandchildren and nine great granchildren. He was also predeceased by one brother, Johnny Spicer.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 20 , 2017 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Walnut Hill Baptist Church. Funeral Services wil follow at Walnut Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Scott Lewellen officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home Mike and Phyllis Spicer, 105 Pine Needle Drive, Campobello, SC 29322.
