Carl Lewis Kendall, 90, of 211 Oak St. passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his residence.
Born in Buffalo, NY on January 28, 1923, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kendall and was the loving husband of Corrine Pye Kendall having celebrated 67 years of marriage prior to her death in September.
Mr. Kendall served in the U.S. Army during WW ll. During his service he received a Purple Heart, European Africian Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with Three Bronze Stars, Combat Infantry Badge and a World War II Victory Ribbon. He retired from Draper Corporation.
He is survived by two sons, Danny Kendall and his wife Wanda of Inman and Dickie Kendall of Wellford; half brother, Elmer Kendall of Fayettville, NC along with 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Spartanburg at 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 14th, with Rev. Joey Burnett officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd. Suite 101, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
