Brenda Kay Hicks Massey
Brenda Kay Hicks Massey ,64, of 2571 Bishop Road was called by her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 at Regional Hospice Home, after a brief illness.
She was born in Spartanburg on March 1, 1944, the daughter of the late Ralph Dennis and Beulah (Emery) Hicks and was a retired secretary. She was an avid gardner and was said to have a "green thumb".
Survivors include two sons, Anthony Dean Massey of Sumter, SC , Scott Massey and his wife Effie of Campobello, SC , a sister, Linda Hicks Cothran of Inman, a granddaughter, Shelby Massey, two step grandchildren, Lauren and Brandon Emery and longtime friend, Joe Everette. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Dean Massey.
Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC, at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 24th, with Rev. Phil Bailey officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Friday after the service at graveside. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to everyone at the Regional Hospice Home for the love and care extended to Brenda.
