Brenda Suttle Bishop

August 26, 1942 — February 10, 2021

Brenda Suttle Bishop, 78, of Spartanburg, SC, died February 10, 2021 surrounded by family. Born August 26, 1942 in Spartanburg, she is the daughter of the late William Robert Suttle and Nell Sumner Suttle, and the beloved wife of Donald Dean Bishop for 59 years.

Brenda was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was an ardent supporter of her husband and sons in all of their personal and professional endeavors. She was a front-row fan for her grandchildren for their sporting events and activities. Brenda was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg and the JOY Sunday School Class. She enjoyed the fellowship and fitness with her church walking group for many years. She and her husband participated in the John's Singers Breakfast Club, where they met every Wednesday to enjoy playing and listening to gospel music. Brenda enjoyed traveling throughout her life, with her favorite being annual family trips to Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach, NC. She had a strong faith and a joyful soul.

In addition to her parents, Brenda is predeceased by her son, Randy Bishop of Elberton, GA. She is survived by her husband, Don Bishop of Spartanburg; her son, Craig Bishop and wife Lisa, and their children Sumner, Brooks and Caroline of Boiling Springs, SC; her sister, Barbara Britt of Wilmington, NC; and her nephews, Dean Britt and family of Wilmington, NC, and Mike Britt and family of Charlottesville, VA.

A Celebration of Life will be held graveside on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepard Memorial Park, 4164 Highway 9 Boiling Springs, SC, by the Reverend Mike Blackwood. Attendees are respectfully asked to wear masks and follow safety protocols. Memorials may be made to First Baptist North Spartanburg, 8740 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29316.
