Brenda Gail Mathis Anders, 68, of 320 Old Blackstock Road, Fairforest, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Brenda was born in Spartanburg on April 3, 1950, a daughter of the late Evelyn Pageant Mathis and Charles Mathis. She was the wife of Leroy Anders of the home and was first married to the late Jerry Dean Whiteside, Sr. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had previously worked in textiles.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter; Dadonia "Donna" Sitton of Spartanburg, stepson; Jerry Dean Whiteside, Jr of Easley, grandson; Marcus Sitton, and great grandson; Dustin Sitton. She was predeceased by a son; Timothy Eugene Bradley and a stepson; Thomas Whiteside.
The family is at the home and will receive friends 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM on Monday, March 4th at Seawright Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 4th at Inman Cemetery in Inman, SC with Rev Frank Bryant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Association of Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties Inc., PO Box 1582, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
