Mr. Brad Michael George, 20, of 535 Hammett Grove Rd. died Sunday, February 20th, 2011 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Inman.
Brad was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 17, 1990, the son of Nathan Lee and Kay (George) Blackwell of Campobello, SC. He was a graduate of Broome High School and of the baptist faith. He worked as a lube tech in the automotive service center at Walmart at Hillcrest in Spartanburg. Brad also shared a great love for cars. His parents said that he also loved his friends!
Surviving in addition to his parents is his maternal grandmother, Virgie (Sherbert) George of Gaffney, SC ,two brothers, Buddie Blackwell of Spartanburg, SC, Mark Alvarez of Campobello, SC, two sisters, Crystal Blackwell of Gaffney, SC, Kayla Blackwell of Campobello, SC and a niece Skyler Finch also of Campobello, SC.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, Feb. 22, 2011 at Seawright Funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Cowpens Cemetery in Cowpens, SC with Rev. Danny Cannon conducting the services. The family is at his parents home at 315 Summer Meadow Trail, Campobello, SC . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brad George Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 192, Inman, SC 29349.
