Boyce Westmoreland

Inman, SC--- Boyce Westmoreland, 83, of 160 Inn View Drive went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Born in Spartanburg County on August 14, 1931, he was a son of the late Henry Ellis and Mamie White Westmoreland and was the husband of Gertrude Alewine Westmoreland having celebrated 60 years of marriage. Boyce was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Inman Mills after 44 years of dedicated service.

In addition to his wife Gertrude, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa Gardner of Inman, SC; a son, Steve Westmoreland and his wife Cathy of Inman, SC; a brother, Henry Westmoreland of Arden, NC and one grandson, Steven Westmoreland. He was predeceased by one brother, Carl Westmoreland and three sisters, Alvie Brackett, Virginia Westmoreland and Frances Frederick.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow in the church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gary Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC.
