Kansas City, Missouri
Boyce Willard Seay ("Bo") died on August 5, 2015 in Kansas City, MO. Bo was born on April 25, 1951 in Spartanburg. He grew up in Inman and graduated from Chapman High School. Pre-deceased by his grandparents Boyce and Clara Littlefield Seay and Butler and Lillie Mae Wade Eubanks, by his parents Willard and Allene Eubanks Seay, and by his son Joshua Fennell, Bo is survived by his sister Karen Seay and brother-in-law Ted Allen and his niece Emilia Allen, of Minneapolis, MN, by his sons Benjamin Seay of Campobello and Jimmy Fennell of Tucson, AZ, and by a number of Eubanks and Seay cousins.
Bo was a child of the earth; he loved exploring, fishing, animals, and all of nature. He was a story-teller and harmonica player. He had the tenderest and most generous of hearts, but life and addiction were hard teachers. His life as a homeless man for nearly thirty years was enormously difficult, but he possessed astonishing resilience and courage and kept going long after most would have given up. His presence in this world will be deeply missed by his sister and others who knew and loved him.
