Spartanburg, SC---Boyce Lee Ravan, 91, of 304 Holly Drive, Spartanburg, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Regional Hospice Home. Boyce was a native of Spartanburg County and born on April 13, 1924, a son of the late Myrtle Blackwell Ravan and Sam Ravan. He was the husband of Lottie Brown Chapman Ravan and was first married to the late Catherine Settle Ravan. He was the last surviving member of his graduation class from Gramling High School. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Spartanburg and had retired from Jackson Mills after 40 years of service. He had also been a peach grower with his father and family, had worked at Gilbert Hardware and at Ingles Grocery, both in the Springfield Community. In addition to his wife, Boyce is survived by a son; Sammie Ravan (Ramona) of Wellford, two daughters; Linda Day (Harris) of Ocean Springs, MS, Karen Dellinger (Keith) of Inman, a brother; Ray Ravan (Minnie Lee) of Inman, a sister; Ruby Ravan Henderson Skinner of Inman, a step-daughter; Judy McDonnell of Columbia, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and seven step great grandchildren. In addition to his first wife, Boyce was predeceased by a sister; Mabel Bruce, a grandson; Joe Ravan, and a step daughter; Beverly Cole. The family is at the home and also at the home of Karen Dellinger, at 160 Cothran Road, Inman and will receive friends Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Moore officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
