Boyce Ray McKinney, Sr.
Mr. Boyce Ray McKinney, Sr., 80, of 241 Stephens Grove Rd. Una passed away Friday, March 7th, 2008 at his home.
Mr. McKinney was born in Marion, NC on November 4, 1927, the son of the late Grayson Lewis and Cora Jane (Eubanks) McKinney.
He was the widower of Betty Jean (Eubanks) McKinney and was first married to the late Alice Mae McKinney.
He is survived by his God-Send and companion Shirley Jackson of the home, daughters: Patsy Poole of Spartanburg, Judy Girado of Una, Debbie Wilson of Una, sons: Boyce Ray McKinney, Jr. of the home, Jimmy Carol McKinney of Gaffney, stepsons: James Allen Jones of the home, Craig Jones of Spartanburg, 23 grandchildren, 45 great, grandchildren and one great, great grandchid. He was predeceased by a daughter: Linda Faye Crane, a son: Michael Ray "Little Bill" McKinney and a great, great grandchild.
He retired from Mayfair Mills and worked as a mechanic, was of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 9 at 5:00 PM at the Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, with Rev. Steven Johnson and Mr. Alvin Wilson officiating. The family is at his home and will receive friends Sunday from 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
