Bobby Ray Woody

Bobby Ray Woody entered the loving arms of his Savior on April 12, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.  Bobby was born September 11, 1952 to Oscar and Dovie Woody.  Survived by his loving wife of 40 years Lynn Woody, 3 children Dennis Woody(Melanie), Miranda Chalk (Andy), and Amy Absher (Cody), 10 Grandbabies: Christopher Guest(Ashtyn), Madison Guest, Jersey Morgan, Braxton Woody, Kaleigh Chalk, Marlie Chalk(Hadyn), Aubrey Chalk, Alli Toney, Charleigh Warren, and Skylin Absher, Great Granddaughter Elle Rose Guest as well as his siblings Mary (predeceased), Irene, Emmie, Clifford, Roy, and Karen.

Bobby was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church, a Mason for over 30 years, and an army veteran.  He retired from Hoechst Celanese after 33 years and Southeast Industrial after 10 years.

 Bobby was a devoted man whose life was a testament to his unwavering faith, boundless love for his family, and passion for sports.  He embraced every moment with a contagious joy and a heart full of gratitude.  Whether on the golf course, cheering for his favorite football team, or surrounded by loved ones, he radiated warmth and kindness.  His legacy of love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.  Rest in Peace Daddy you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. 

Visitation will be held at Lake Bowen Baptist Church, 404 Sugar Ridge Rd.,  Inman, SC 29349 on Sunday April 14, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.  A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Brad Atkins officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:  St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
