Mr. Bobby Lee Winford
Inman, SC---Mr. Bobby Lee Winford, 74, of 3241 Compton Bridge Rd. Inman, passed away Sunday, September 28th, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Winford was born in Nashville, TN on February 26, 1934, the son of the late Homer Lee and Verna Maybelle (Shasteen) Winford.
He served in the U.S. Marines and worked as a Federal Police officer for the Panama Canal Company and was a Correctional Officer at Northside Correctional Facility in Spartanburg.
Survivors include his companion, Debra D. Stokes of Inman; two daughters, Roseanna M. Swicegood of Sweetwater, TN, and Dianna E. Winford of Spartanburg; one son William F. Winford of Spartanburg; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Janet B. Winford; one son, Bobby Lee Winford, Jr. and one brother, Billy C. Winford.
Military funeral services will be held in Tampa, Florida at a later date.
