Mr. Bobby Waddell, 75, of 67 Fisher Dr., Spartanburg passed away Monday, November 30th, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Waddell was born in Woodruff, SC on March 28, 1934, the son of the late J Van and Lellar Lee Waddell.
He was the husband of Bobbie Jean (Shedd) Waddell and was first married to the late Brenda Hampton and Elizabeth Marie Waddell.
He is survived by 1 son: Mark Waddell of Boiling Springs, 1 step-son: Garland Keith Hyder of Spartanburg, 2 sisters: Grace W Norton, Myrtle W Weston, 2 brothers: J.B. "Sig" Waddell, Albert "Bo" Waddell and wife Guinita all of Woodruff, 1 stepdaughter: Teresa Meyers of Palatka, FL, 3 grandchildren: Bryan Keith Hyder, Robbie Lee Inman, Wendy Inman, 3 great-grandchildren: Brandi Inman, Jessica Marie Hyder and Chase Warren. He was predeceased by a stepson: Thomas Gene Huckaby and 6 brothers: Jack Waddell, Belton "Brown" Waddell, Paul "Tink" Waddell, James "Dot" Waddell, Bryson "Pete" Waddell, and L.C. Waddell.
He retired from Spartanburg Steel after 41 years service and served in the U.S. Army.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday 6:00 - 8:00 PM. at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2nd, with Rev Mark Cannon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
