Bobby Leon Godfrey

 Bobby L Godfrey, 87, of 25 S. Howard St in Inman, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Bobby was born in Spartanburg County on October 17, 1937 and was the husband of Glenda Dixon Godfrey of the home.

He retired from International Paper, served honorably in the United States Navy and was a Baptist.

 In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter, Sandra Godfrey of Spartanburg, a son, Christopher Godfrey and his wife, Marie, of Wellford, five grandchildren, Brandon Thompson, Morgan Batalla (Aaron), Shannon Laughlin (Allen), Breanna Godfrey (Seth Killian), Kayla Cleveland (James) and two great grandchildren, Aspyn Thompson and Clover Cleveland. He was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Diane Godfrey.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 15th at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman with Rev. Mitch Crow officiating.

The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Morgan Batalla, at 28 2nd Street, Inman and will receive friends 6:00 until 8:00 Thursday, November 14th at Seawright Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
