Inman, SC--Bobby Afton Jackson, 76, of 1661 Campton Rd. passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014.
Born in Rutherford, NC on January 20, 1938, he was the son of the late Mr. Evans S. and Gladys (Sansing) Jackson and was the husband of Mrs. Leona (Blevins) Jackson having celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Mr. Jackson was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired after 20 years of service. He was also employed with Spartan Technology for 15 years.
He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Inman.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Greg Jackson of Spartanburg, SC; one sister, Marie Payne Hughes of Pensacola, FL. and four grandchildren, Patrick Jackson, Derrick Jackson, Tayna Howard and Jennifer Branch. He was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Byrd officiating. Burial with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC.
