INMAN, SC-- Mr. Bobby Leon Drake, 59, of 51 North Main Street, Inman passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at Inman Healthcare.
Mr. Drake was born in Spartanburg, SC on October 30, 1948, the son of the late Paul Maxwell and Hattie B (Turner) Drake. He was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church.
He is survived by four sisters, Mary Anner Brown of Inman, Geraldine Ford and husband Daniel of Campobello, Janie Lou Dempsey and husband Marion of Inman, Shirley Blackwell and husband Sam of Lyman; two brothers, Billy Gene Drake and wife Christine of Inman, Jerry Drake and wife Doris of Duncan, and sister-in-law, Janie Emory of Lyman.
Funeral services will be held at Little Mountain Baptist Church, Wellford, SC, at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2008 with Rev. Ansel Norris, Rev. Josh Phillips and Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the home of a sister, Janie Dempsey, 3770 Highway 357, Inman and will receive friends Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
The family wishes to express our love to Janie, Marion, Kathy, Todd, Adam, and Tyler Bradburn for taking care of Bobby. To the fire department, ambulances, Ambu Star, Spartanburg Regional, all caregivers, staff and friends at Inman Healthcare and Bobby's "guardian angel" (Clarence), our love to you.
