Bobby Joe Barnette, 77, of 220 Edgewater Road, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Joe was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on August 13, 1943, a son of the late Sidney Leland Barnette and Alice Kate Turner Barnette. He was the husband of June Holcombe Barnette of Inman, South Carolina. Mr. Barnette was a retired electrician from Earnhardt Electric and a member of New Beginnings Methodist Church in Boiling Springs, South Carolina.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Barnette is survived by a step daughter, Alesia Martin, of Campobello, South Carolina; a step son,Tim Camp, of Roebuck, South Carolina and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn Marie Barnette Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at New Beginnings Methodist Church in Boiling Springs, South Carolina conducted by, Rev. Christopher Greene.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, SC Chapter 4124, Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621 or Mobile Meals, 419 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
