Robert "Bob" Nelson Wood, Jr., 89, of 851 W. Emerald Springs Drive, Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Bob was born in Delhi, New York on September 25, 1928, a son of the late Ethel (Borst) Wood and Robert N. Wood, Sr. He was the husband of Emily June (Christman) Wood, owner and operator of Wood's Convenience Store in Delhi, NY and was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Delhi, NY . In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons Robert Nelson Wood, III, of Union Grove, NC; William Jay Wood, of Montgomery, AL; James David Wood, of Inman, SC, 6 grandsons and 14 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Cornwall. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC, at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018 with Rev Donnan Lawson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
