Blanche (Edge) Smith Campbell, 82, formerly of 220 Old Lowe Rd. died Tuesday, November 9th, 2010 at Magnolia Manor of Spartanburg.
Mrs. Campbell was born in Moore, SC on November 15, 1927, the daughter of the late Leo and Ola (Lancaster) Edge. She was the loving wife of Marvin "MC" Campbell and was first married to the late Eugene Smith. She had been a very faithful and active member of the Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church and worked many years as a nursing assistant.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son Leo Smith and his wife Kathleen of Charlotte, NC, a daughter, Brenda Fulbright of Spartanburg, SC, two sisters, Arbutus Trail of Woodruff, SC, Grace Elvira Chesney of Inman, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are three step children, Donna Schafer of Charleston, SC, Rosanne Thompson of Wichita, Ks, Glen Campbell of Denver, NC, nine step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Naomi Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Greer, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302.
