Bill Morris Chappelear, 80, of 110 Ware Road, passed away Tuesday, September 13th, 2016, at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC. Mr. Chappelear was born in Greenville County, SC on April 19,1936 and was a son of the late Dennis and Julia Brown Chappelear. He was the husband of Ann (Crocker) Chappelear for over 33 years and was of the baptist faith. Mr. Chappelear opened the Boiling Springs Superette as the owner/ operator in 1968 and served as a paper carrier for the Spartanburg Herald over 18 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Larry Chappelear (Beth), Jerry Easler (Donna), James Easler (Vicky), and two sisters, Ann Ellis and Margaret Turpin. There are seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. Chappelear was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC conducted by Dr. Roland Dry. The family will be at the home.
