Biddie Doris Dawson

Biddie Doris Clardy Dawson, 86, passed away Friday September 6, 2019. Biddie was born to Henry Nolan and Jennie Catherine Clardy, February 20, 1933. In 1951 she met and married the love of her life, Verne Lewis Dawson. They traveled the world for many of their 68 years with the US Army. Biddie enjoyed being a homemaker and mother to their 3 children. Later in life as the children left the nest, she decided to follow her love for antiques. In 1986 she opened Biddies' Antiques in Greer, SC. Over the next 30 years she furnished many people's homes and made lifelong friends.

Biddie is survived by her adoring husband Verne and her three loving children and their spouses. Amy (Frank) Beeson, Verne Dawson II (Laura Hoptman) and Victor Dawson (Ashley). Her sisters; Joyce Mullins, Rachael Billions and Sue Acuff, as well as her brother Jerry Clardy, all of Huntsville, AL. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Biddie was predeceased by her brother Ray Clardy and sister Sylvia Joiner.
If you've ever met Biddie you will remember her for her grace, beauty, wit and love for her family. We will miss her laughter and love but are comforted by the joy she gave to all of us.

We invite you to celebrate this wonderful woman September 21, 2019 at Gramling Methodist Church. 14941 Asheville Hwy, Gramling SC, 29438. Services will begin at 1 PM followed by a reception in the Social Hall.
