Betty J. Wynn

Simpsonville, SC---Betty Jo Shook Bagwell Wynn, 86, of 119 Circle Dr. in Simpsonville, SC, passed away on May 2, 2017 at the Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC. The loving wife of Rev. Bobby Wynn, Betty Jo was a native of Hiawassee, GA and the daughter of the late Nola (Crump) and Will Shook. She is also the widow of the late Rev. Robert H. Bagwell. A Church of God pastor's wife for more than 50 years, she was a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate and a former employee of the Inman Times and Belk, Inc.

Betty Jo is survived by daughter, Joette Carroll (Ronnie) of Greenwood; son, Stephen Bagwell (Shirley) of Inman; step daughter, Barbara Wooten (Gene) of Joanna, step son Ronnie Wynn (Cheryl) of Conway; sister, Gaynelle McCloud of Travelers Rest; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Betty Jo was also the mother of the late Robert Bagwell, Jr. and sister of the late Dean Shook. In addition, she had the joy of brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC at 4:00 PM with Rev. Gene Wooten, Rev. Bobby Johnson, Rev. Terry Sherfield and Rev. Ben Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Carroll, Jon Morgan, Ronnie Wynn, Nat Henderson, Mack McCloud, Van Wooten and John McCloud, Jr. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646.
