Betty Jane Stokely, 66, of 150 Lanford Street Campobello, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg, S.C.
Betty was born in Sulfer Springs, N.C. and raised in Bryson City, N.C. A daughter of the late Luther and Annie Mae McClain Franklin, she was born on March 29, 1951. She was retired from Mohawk Industries and was a Baptist. She is survived by two sons; Gene Thompson and wife Nikki of Boiling Springs, Jack Thompson and wife Debbie of Inman, a daughter; Rita Kimbrell of Inman, a brother; David Franklin and wife Treva of Bryson City, N.C., her fiance'; Dallas Provo of Campobello, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers; Dan Franklin, John Henry Franklin and Clinton Franklin.
The family is at the home of Jack Thompson at 12770 Asheville Highway, Inman and will receive friends Wednesday following the service at Seawright Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral chapel at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19th, with Rev. Donnan Lawson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
